Is Refil free?
Yes. Downloading and using Refil is free: you see the map with the cheapest station for your fuel at no cost. Refil Pro is an optional subscription that widens the search radius and unlocks extras.
How does Refil find the cheapest gas station?
In Québec it uses the prices every retailer must report to the Régie de l'énergie since 1 April 2026 — that is the only station-level official feed in the country. Elsewhere the stations come from OpenStreetMap and the prices from drivers reporting them, plus the weekly regulated maximum in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. The cheapest station for your fuel is highlighted in green either way.
Which countries does it cover?
Canada plus Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Denmark and Argentina for fuel, and EV charging in the United Kingdom and the United States as well.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Refil works with no sign-up or account, and your precise location never leaves your device.
Does it work for electric cars too?
Yes. It shows chargers across every market it covers, with filters by connector (CCS, Type 2, CHAdeMO, NACS…) and charging speed.
